Cette compilation réunit des films au croisement des genres, entre science-fiction et abstraction plastique, dont la sensibilité commune s’exprime à travers la vision d’univers en noir et blanc. Formes archaïques projetées dans un futur gelé, mondes en gestation, ce sont des oeuvres hybrides évoluant dans l’imaginaire d’un cinéma vivant, un cinéma de la sensation.
La recherche plastique de chaque cinéaste s’articule autour de la lumière argentique (pellicule 6mm, Super 8, photographie, développement en laboratoire artisanal…). Il s’agit de films à la copie unique, entièrement auto-produits et diffusés jusqu’alors de manière confidentielle. Notre édition sur support DVD permet de rendre visible et accessible ces oeuvres singulières et fragiles. Vivant, le corps du cinéma s’élargit et se projette sous différentes formes. Les artistes d’Ombres ont tous une approche filmique qui s’étend au-delà de l’écran ; performances, installations, expositions photographiques, créations sonores, essais, poésie. Expériences du corps, instants rares éphémères et précieux. Le DVD, objet multimédia, restitue l’ensemble de ce corpus. À ce titre, il prend une dimension documentaire inédite. Conscient que le support DVD ne peut être une finalité de l’oeuvre in situ, notre Label propose également des événements cinématographiques à vivre. L’édition trouve alors un nouveau public, rencontré lors de ces nombreuses
projections.
The films presented by Label Ombres in its first collection are worlds in gestation, a shudder within apparition and disparition, archaic forms projected in a frozed future. We propose a cinema of feeling which cristallizes the being in a beat, a breath, a first cry, a vision.
The plastic research of every cinematographer articulates itself around argentic film’s light (16mm films, Super 8, photography, homemade-lab developments). These are films which only have one unique copy, entirely self-produced and their diffusion has been until now quite confidential. Our DVD edition allows these fragile and single works to be visible as well as accessible. Alive, the cinema’s body grows and projects itself wihin différent shapes and patterns.
Each of the artists of «Ombres» have their own cinematographic approach which expends beyond the screen: performances, installations, photo exhibitions, sound tracks, essays, poems, body experiences, rare instant, feeting thus precious. The DVD, as a multimedia tool, restitutes the whole of this corpus, therefore taking a new documentory dimension. Conscient of the fact that the DVD can not be the works’ achievment in situ, our label thus offer creation of cinematographic live events.
